Much of the material in these files was gathered from library and archival holdings at various institutions, including Brigham Young University, University of Utah, Utah State Historical Society, the Church Historical Department, and Southern Utah University.

Contains photocopies of music by Florence Madsen.

Contains correspondence related to Maeser's term as principal of Brigham Young Academy. Materials focus on the financial difficulties of the Academy and the need for more teachers. Also addressed are discipline and ecclesiastical matters. Dates range from 1878 to 1889.

Contains notes by Bennett on the history of Brigham Young University, including photocopies of correspondence with university leaders. Materials dated 1834 to 1972.
